4-Week Photography Camp — From Fundamentals to Portfolio-Ready

Overview

The 4-Week Photography Camp is an intensive exploration of still photography in the digital age. Students immerse in the art and craft of photography and are introduced to the tools needed to capture strong images and refine them through professional digital imaging. In a hands-on environment, participants learn to research, compose, and execute digital photographic projects, treating each assignment as a concise statement of artistic, documentary, journalistic, or commercial intent. They expand their repertoire of light-and-shadow techniques using professional lighting and grip hardware, as well as creative, low-cost, and unconventional practical sources. The camp welcomes all experience levels—starting from fundamentals and filling inevitable gaps for those with prior practice. Weekly fieldwork, guided critiques, and gallery/studio visits build toward a cohesive, portfolio-ready body of work. Note: all students must bring a digital camera with manual exposure control.
